July 11th, 2009 Bob's Battle Ends

It is with both great sorrow and relief that we announce Bob's passing at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 11th, 2009. Bob was surrounded by family members Shelly, Brandi, Jodi, Kevin, Bill and his wife Judy, and nephew Brad. We know he is now fully restored, free from pain and with his mom and dad and all other family members who have passed before him.

Thank you friends, for your love, support and prayers. We'll post memorial information when it is available.

Love,

The Freemans

  2. Freeman Family,

We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing this afternoon. He was a wonderfully kind & talented person & I'm sure he will be missed by many!! It's been years since I've been by ol AB Miller but I need to make a trip so that I can see for myself all the wonderful improvements he (& his students) have made that my Mom has told me so much about. May you find peace & comfort in the countless memories you have shared with each other.

    with love,

  7. Bob will be missed, he was a good man. I haven't seen him since I left Miller 3 years ago, but I remember his can do attitude, positive outlook on life and his friendly smile. Bob never refused an opportunity to help any of his students or colleagues. It was my privilage to have your husband and father as a friend for 45 years. We met in high school, partied and matured (somewhat) together, served in the military at the same time, raised our families and grew old together. I will always remember Bob and I will always miss him.

    Love, David

  12. Shelly,Brandi & Jodi,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. As you already know, Bob was loved by everyone who knew him, but what you might not know, he was like family to me while I was at Miller. I lived in California for only 5 years, 3000 miles away from my own family. Bob imediately became my friend and helped me out as the new kid on the block. I frequently referred to him as Uncle Bob! He was one of my Miller favorites. Shelly, I will always remember the best prank anyone ever pulled on me was by Bob...remember what he stuck under my pillow when Mike and I stayed at your house?! I still have the photo you sent me. It's crazy, but I will treasure that photo even more.
    May God comfort you,
    Love, Tiffany

  15. I went to Miller (c/o 03) but didn't have Mr. Freeman as a teacher. I knew people who did. From the small times I was around him, I can say he was a great and wonderful man. I'm so sorry for your lost. Sending Freeman family hugs and prayers.

  16. Bob's friendship was a gift to those of us lucky enough to know him. I've never met anyone who truly gave of himself so generously. The tears of the last few days can never wash away the joy and laughter of the years of softball, golf, camping and just sharing our lives and family. Rest in peace my friend. You will be truly missed.
