Update- Tuesday, Feb. 24th

Hello All,

All is well. Bob's catheter was removed today and he is walking again. All of his docs came by today and said they are happy with his progress, altho the skin graft still needs a few more days to heal and adhere, so... he'll be there for another day or two. He still has one tube attached for the graft drainage and a couple of IV's remain.

He sends his weary, but best wishes.

The Freemans

  2. Good news and not a moment too soon. I've had your blog and picture up on my screen for the last twenty some days and even though I've known you for 45 years I just realized you aren't that pretty. Glad to hear you're doing well and I'll see you again when you get home. Dave

  3. Sadly i have been working and generally busy and had the misfortune to be "out of the loop." Thankfully i had the time to take a visit down to AB today to see Mr gruber and found this website written on the whiteboard.

I send my best wishes to the freeman family to get through this stressful time but it seems like its going well thus far.

Freeman was a huge part of my life for the last 4 years and i could see nothing better than his safe return home.

  4. Hi Mr. Freeman (and Family),
This is Diane Cameron, Blaine Cameron is my son (see previous comment).
Eric and I had no idea that you were going through all these complications, but we are sooo relieved so see that you are finally recovering, and hoping this convalescence will be less eventful!
On a more personal note, I still have a "Thank You" card sitting here on my counter, to thank you, Mr. Freeman, for all you did for my son Blaine the last 4 years. I truly don't know if he would have made it through school without you and the masonry program. He has a passion for masonry that you helped to foster, and as a result, he graduated early and is working full time in the field. He's making great money, doing what he likes, and is now a hard working, responsible young man. You have devoted your life to helping these kids, and I see the product every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I wish you a speedy recovery, and you and your family will always be in my prayers. And of course, if there is anything we can do for you....
    Sincerely,
    Diane and Eric Cameron

  5. HI Bob, this is your favorite cousin from the east coast....Nancy!!! Finally got into your blog. We are so glad to here you are home. I am thinking about you every day and talking to gram to get everyone together and watch over you to keep you strong and get you healthy. We love you so much!! We have been very busy these day, remember when your girls were teenagers? Well, Tim and I are there now and life is full of challenges. Rachael who is
turning 16 in about 24 days, spends more time thinking about boys than her school work. Liz, who is 12, is totally into her school, is our only athlete, loves basketball and field hockey. She is very organized and there are
days when I tell her she will be taking care of her sister someday. God help us!!! I just realized today Tim is turning 50 this year ( December 22) and Rachael will be 16 in March. Couple of milestones. I, on the other hand, turned 50 last year and am constantly reminded of it. Do you and Shelly remember taking me water skiing on the Colorado river ( 1977) when I was 17? I can still feel the bruises. I could not get my butt out of the water. Once up though, It was absolutely awesome! Remember the watermelon punch....the best and good times!! Well, i miss you all and wish we were closer so i could visit you, bug you some, and see the rest of my family in CA. Love you all so much !! Nancy, Tim, Rachael and Liz.
